Weather Advisories:
WINTER STORM WATCH for Otsego, Delaware, Ulster, Dutchess, and Litchfield counties in the local area from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night for the potential of a 7" or greater snowfall accumulation..
.
The latest trends in data as of this update continue to strongly suggest that a rapidly intensifying storm along the New Jersey coast on Wednesday will be developing and tracking south of our region, typical of most of the storms that have occurred this season. The southern track coupled with what is expected to be a sharp cutoff between accumulating snow and no snow on the storm's northern edge makes the snowfall forecast particularly difficult for the region. However, it does appear more likely that much of the area will be on the northern fringe which would mean a nuisance to light snowfall Wednesday into Wednesday night with the highest potential for a moderate or greater snowfall generally confined to Ulster, Dutchess, and Litchfield counties. It's all very much track dependent, however, so stay tuned.
